Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Support Engineer (Level 2) to join our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing second-level technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems across the organization. This role requires excellent technical expertise, communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals (hardware, software, and network connectivity).
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents escalated from Level 1 support within defined SLAs.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/macOS), business applications, and user accounts.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, VPN, and endpoint security tools.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, solutions, and workarounds in the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
- Contribute to IT projects such as system rollouts, migrations, and upgrades.
- Provide on-site and remote support to users, including occasional travel between locations if required. Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in IT support or Desktop Support (Level 2).
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Hands-on experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or similar).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware (desktops, laptops, printers) and software issues effectively.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently.
Nice to Have (Preferred)
- Valid driving license (B category) for on-site support and travel.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft MD-102/MD-100, ITIL Foundation).
- Experience supporting macOS or Linux environments.
